伊東市の友好都市イギリス・メドウェイ市とイタリア・リエティ市へ派遣する2024年度の交換学生プログラムの選考会に24名の応募があり、2024年４月７日に選考会が実施されました。レベル高いの選考会となりましたが最終的に以下の４名が選出されました。
In the selection process for the 2024 exchange student program to the sister cities of Ito City, Medway City in the UK and Rieti City in Italy, we received applications from 24 candidates. The selection event took place on April 7, 2024. It was a highly competitive selection process, but ultimately, four candidates were chosen.

イギリス・メドウェイ市には、今年８月12日から26日、イタリア・リエティ市には来年３月中旬から末までそれぞれ派遣されます。
Two students will be dispatched to Medway City, UK, from August 12 to 26 of this year, and two others will go to Rieti City, Italy, from mid to late March next year.
本年の選考会に応募してくれた24名は、全員自分の意志をはっきりと示すことのできる優秀な学生達でした。その中から４名を選出するのはたいへん難しい作業でした。今回、惜しくも選ばれなかった方々には、友好都市から派遣されてくる学生と伊東で交流する機会がありますので、是非、積極的に参加していただきたいと思います。
All 24 applicants this year were outstanding students who clearly demonstrated their enthusiasm. Choosing only four from such a talented pool was a challenging task. For those who were not selected this time, we encourage you to actively participate in the exchange activities with students from our sister cities when they visit Ito. There will be plenty of opportunities for interaction and cultural exchange.
