伊東市よりメドウェイ派遣
コロナ禍で中止の続いたメドウェイとの交換学生プログラムが３年ぶりに再会され、2023年度は菊間遼太郎さんと木村日真莉が派遣されました。2023年８月12日より８月27日までメドウェイに滞在しました。
After being repeatedly canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the student exchange program with Medway was finally resumed after three years. In 2023, Ryotaro Kikuma and Himari Kimura were sent. They stayed in Medway from August 12 to August 27, 2023.

今回貴重な体験をさせていただき誠にありがとうございました。私はイギリスへの渡航は2 回目になりますが、普通の旅行では経験できないことを経験させてもらったのがこのプログラムの大きな収穫でもありました。メドウェイ市での活動は、時折大変だったり、難しかったりしましたが、現地の人との交流や、様々な建築物を見ることによって日本との違いが建物や人々の価値観までに表れていることを知りました。三浦按針関連の交流も活発であり、毎日が新鮮でした。このプログラムを終えて、このメドウェイ市派遣プログラムに今後も貢献していきたいと思い、携わりたいと考えています。ありがとうございました。
Thank you very much for providing me with this valuable experience. This is my second time traveling to the UK, but participating in this program has allowed me to experience things that I wouldn’t encounter on a regular trip, which has been a significant takeaway for me. While the activities in the Medway were occasionally challenging, I learned about the differences between Japan and the UK not only in terms of buildings but also in the values of the people through interactions with locals and observing various architectures. The exchanges related to Miura-Anjin were also lively, making each day feel refreshing. Upon completing this program, I aspire to continue contributing to and being involved in the Medway exchange program in the future. Thank you very much.

交換プログラムを通して、新たな環境に適応していく力を身につけることができました。話が伝わらなくても、相手に分かってもらえるまで、何度もチャレンジしました。自分のスピーキング力が上がっていると実感できた時はとても嬉しかったです。イギリスの街並みはとても美しく、車に乗っている時は夢中で外を眺めていました。暖かく迎えてくれたホストファミリー、たくさんの経験を共にした８人の派遣生、そしてお世話になった国際交流の方々、本当に感謝しています。ありがとうございました！
Through the exchange program, I was able to develop the ability to adapt to new environments. Even when my words didn’t get across, I kept challenging myself until the other person understood. I felt really happy when I realized that my speaking skills had improved. The streets of Britain are incredibly beautiful, and I often found myself lost in admiration while riding in the car, gazing out at the scenery. I am truly grateful to the host family who warmly welcomed me, the eight fellow exchange students with whom I shared many experiences, and the individuals involved in international exchange who took care of us. Thank you very much!
